Yokai World

I've been chipping away at this for quite a while, and finally ready to call it done! This was based off some paintings I did back in school, which you can find below. The original versions were done in first year, where we had to do a day and night version of a landscape, done in Gouache. Then it looks like I did a digital version within the next year.

For this painting, I had wanted to focus a lot more on design, since I felt the original was very generic. A theme based on Japanese Yokai folklore seemed perfect, as I have been researching it quite heavily for a personal project, and there are so many cool concepts and designs associated with it. Hopefully I'll get to bring that project to life one day.

Over all it was a great learning experience. The main file size is huge, as I wanted to do a large physical print of this. I included a few closeups, even if they still aren't at 100% of the final size. Thanks for looking!
